Movie Monday 2/17/2014

Ok, so even with my goals of starting this up again I’ve been absent for 2 months. Still, you have to start somewhere, so today, I’m starting with a Movie Monday post. I’m going to do my best to update at least twice a week, and perhaps every weekday if I can. So without further ado, on to the movie updates after the jump!

Divergent is due out March, but Robert Schwentke has already been announced as the director for its sequel Insurgent.

Sad news in the Muppet world this week. The Jim Henson Company confirmed the death of John Henson, one of Jim Henson’s sons, and the puppeteer who played the well known giant Sweetums monster.

John Green has been on set at The Fault in Our Stars (due out in June) and spoke with the LA Times about his friendship with Esther Earl.

Jeff Bridges speaks to EW about the adaptation of Lois Lowry’s The Giver, due out in August.

Hypable spoke with Dylan O’Brian about the delay of The Maze Runner

Atlanta’s ice storm delayed filming on Mockingjay according to Hollywood Reporter. In other Mockingjay news, sciencefiction.com reports that Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s role in Mockingjay Part 2 will be completed digitally.

That’s all for this week. If you have any movies you want me to follow, let me know in the comments or shoot me an email!
