This week, I am reviewing Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This book was published in 2009 and was made into a movie of the same name in 2013. The story follows a popular trend of romatic paranormal fiction, using its own unique spin on the story. Just a note before the jump, in the next few weeks, I will begin reading the books that I got at ALA. Some of those books will then be offered up as raffle prizes and sent on to the winner. So keep a look out for the raffles to begin. Now click for the full review!

Next week. I’m still recuperating from ALA Chicago, where I met some great people and picked up a ton of books, some ARCs (advanced reader copies) and some published books. I’ll be back doing Movie Mondays on July 8 and will continue with my regular posting from then on. My goal is to start posting at least 5 days a week. In addition, I’m hoping to offer some of these ARCs and books as raffle prizes after I’ve reviewed them. Do you have an idea for regular blog posts from me? What topics do you want me to talk about? Have an idea for a regular feature? Leave me a comment below, and I’ll see you next week!
Here is the start of my book review feature, the Buzzin’ Blurb. Every week I will review a book that I have recently read. For now, this feature will hold all of my book reviews, although as this blog grows, that may change. I’ll do my best to make them spoiler free, and will give warnings if I think there is a spoiler. For today, we have the recently released short story e-book/audiobook from Rick Riordan, Son of Sobek. Click the link above to read the whole review!
